History of Borobudur Temple in Urdu and English
Are you know what is Borobudur Temple? Lets me know, The Borobudur Temple is a very old temple and one of the most famous of the seven wonders of the world. The Borobudur Temple was build by a Hindu dynasty in the Central Java around 775 A.D. But after the first two terraces were built, the Hindus were supplanted by Buddhist rulers. The new rulers went back to work on the unfinished temple in 790 and converted into one of the largest Stupa of Buddhist. It was competed in 835 A.D but a century or two later it fell into decline. It lay forgotten under jungle growth and volcanic ash til Europeans cleared the site in 1815. In the early 19th century the Dutch was restored the temple.
This temple is about 400 square feet at the base. It has 10 stories which is 110 feet high. The first 6 terraces containing more than 12 hundred relief panels, man of them shwing what life was like in 19th century Java. The Temple also having 504 Statues of Buddha. Each of the 72 small Stupas on the upper 3 terraces used to contain a Buddha Statue. But the Temple’s great crowning Stupa representing Nirvana, is blank.
