Short Introduction of Khomeini Ayatullah Roohullah

Khomeini Ayatullah Rouhullah Al-Moosvi was born on September 24, 1900 in a family of Muslim spiritual leaders in the township of Khomein Near Hamadan in central Iran. His father, elder brother and maternal grand father were Ayatullahs. His father died when he was few months old. He was brought up by his mother and paternal aunt. Thy both died when he was 15.
Khomeini studied at religious institutions of Isfahan, Arak and Qurm. After becoming a master of Islamic learning he wrote many books. He criticised the autocratic region of Shah Muhammad Raza Shah Pohlavi’s father Raza Shah Kabir. In 1963, he criticised various reforms introduced by Raza Shah. Khomeini was exiled to Turkey whereform he went to settle in Iraq. Being a religious center of Shiite Muslims. Iraq provided him a better opportunity to contact visiting Iranian pilgrims for 14 years. In 1978, Iraq forced him either to cease his activities or leave the country. Thus he, arrived in Paris and directed the Islamic revolution in Iran. He is regarded as the spiritual leader of Iran.
