Tareekh e Peshawar Urdu (History of Peshawar) is a landmark and important historical document about Peshawar and its rural areas. This research work was compiled and finalized by Munshi Gupaldas, Extra Assistant settlement commissioner, on the order of Captain A.G Hastings, Settlement Commissioner of Punjab. To prepared this most essential documents, Munchi Gopaldas was assisted by more than 5 hundred other staff who also held various positions in the settlement commissionreate. This research work was completed in five years from (1869 to 1874) and later on printed and published by Koh e Noor Press Lahore.
