There is little to be written about a high-profile figure like Bacha Khan. His scholarly, literary, and corrective services to the Pakhtun nation are not hidden from anyone. His ideas still resonate throughout South Asia and Central Asia.

Bacha Khan’s nonviolent, pacifist and philanthropic policies are becoming increasingly necessary in the face of the present surge of hatred, violence, and conflict that threatens to destroy human civilization. Numerous academic essays are being published about Bacha Khan’s personality and movement, and fresh details about his life and struggles are coming to light. The whole world appreciates his style of thinking and his enchanting charm.

Recent reforms in Bacha Khan’s movement, the interest of Pakhtuns living abroad in the revival of the Pakhtun national movement, and the extremist tendencies that have spread in Pakhtunkhwa demand that the personality and thoughts of Bacha Khan should be exposed at the public level. Realizing this need, the Bacha Khan Research Center has researched various aspects of Pakhtun society, as well as Bacha Khan’s life, struggle, and the Khudai Khidmatgar movement.

We are very grateful to Dr. Syed Waqar Ali Shah Sahib, who took up the task of conducting Bacha Khan’s biographical research work and brought it to completion. We are also deeply grateful to Ms. Durr e Nayab Sahibzada, who translated it into easy Urdu for the general readers.
