Muhammad bin Qasim, the great Muslim soldier and India’s first young Muslim conqueror, was born in 75 Hijri 694 AD in Taif. His father’s name was Qasim, and his grandfather’s name was Muhammad. When he was growing up, the caliph of the Muslims was Walid bin Abdul Malik. And the Muslim capital was Damascus.

At that time, Muslims had conquered Iran. Sindh’s land is close to the Iranian borders, which is why when Iran and the Muslim wars were taking place, Islamic victories were on the rise in Iran. The temptations Iranians came to Sindh and sought refuge. Sindh became the centre of these temptations.

Raja Dahir of Sindh was also trying to maintain the Iranian empire in some way. He continued to provide military support to the Iranians in various contexts, but when the Muslims occupied the Iranian Empire, King Raja Dahir incorporated some Iranian provinces into his government. Iranians also handed over the provinces of Kerman and Baluchistan to Raja Dahir of Sindh so that Muslims could not occupy them. Even then, Muslims did not pay attention to conquering Sindh until Raja Dahir himself forced Muslims to invade his kingdom.
