Sher Shah Suri is a historical novel written by Aslam Rahi M.A that contains the complete history and life story of the famous Muslim ruler of India in Urdu.
His real name was Farid Khan. He was born in 1472 in the house of Hassan Khan, who was an ethnic Afghan Pashtun. His grandfather came to India from Afghanistan in search of a job in the time of Bahlol Lodhi and joined services in the Punjab.
Farid Khan was the founder of the Sur Empire in the northern part of the subcontinent, with its capital at Delhi. He took control of the Mughal empire from King Humayun in 1538. In 1545, he accidentally died, and his son, Sultan Islam Shah Suri, became his successor. He was a skilled commander and one of the best administrators ever.
