Pandare Novel Authored By Qamar Ajnalvi. The Pandare is a historical novel containing a beautiful historical story of Nawab Karim Khan Rohilla Pandar and Marhatta, king of Gwalior Maharaja Daulat Rao Sandhya in Urdu. This novel tells the story of the murders and robberies of the Pandars. Pandora was a group of ruthless criminals operating in Central India. The group consisted of Afghan and Deccan troops. These people belonged to different nations and sects and were completely alien to national or religious unity. These groups did not shy away from inflicting atrocities on humanity during the looting. The Pandara group first appeared in the time of Mughal king Aurangzeb Alamgir.

Taking advantage of the eighteenth-century political crisis, the Pandars looted their profession and made Central India their base for their activities. Other chiefs, including Marhatta Raja Sandhya and Holkar, patronized him in exchange for military service, further strengthening the group. Karim Khan and Hira Khan were powerful chiefs of the Pandars. They first looted the British districts of Mirzapur and Shahabad, then the Nizam Deccan, and finally the Northern Government areas.

Fed up with the killing and looting of the Pandars, the British government entered into an agreement with the Rajput and Marhta chiefs to deal with the Pandars and, in 1817, launched a full-scale operation against the Pandars. This operation lasted for months, and in January 1818, the Pandars were completely eliminated. After the surrender of Karim Khan Rohilla, the British government gave him the Jageer of Ghauspur. The rest of the surviving Pandars started farming and living a peaceful life in Ghauspur.
