Singhasan Battisi by Ibn e Adam PDF Free Download
Singhasan Battisi by Ibn e Adam. The book Singhasan Batisi contains a collection of ancient Indian stories for children. All these stories have been translated from Marathi into Urdu. Like “Betal Pachisi,” they are also derived from the Sanskrit language.
This is a story of the bravery, intelligence, wisdom, and justice of the ancient Indian king Vikramajit. The order and tact with which the story is told give a good idea of the perfection of Ibne Adam’s art. This story begins with the time of the courageous and compassionate King Raja Bhoj. It also mentions a little shepherd, Chandrabhan, of the same period. Whenever Chandrabhan sits on a mound, he opposes Raja Bhoj.
When Raja Bhoj knew about this, he demolished that mound. On digging, a golden Singhasan (royal throne) is found there. There are eight statues of Apsaras on the four legs of this throne. Whenever Raja Bhoj intends to sit on the throne, a statue emerges from its foot and tells Raja Bhoj the story of King Vikramajit. In this way, thirty-two statues tell one story in turn. Due to the magical Chair and its thirty-two stories, this story is called ‘Singhasan Batisi’.
The translator and author ‘Ibn-e-Adam’, taking into account the psychology and understanding of children, has made this story very interesting and captivating with his artistic agility. From this story, students and children learn wisdom, compassion, and justice.
